GROUP 2 – Curriculum Reform - Content

System Representatives needed:
· Faculty members – Math, English, Reading and Basic Skills
· Advising and counseling
· Financial Aid
· eLearning
· Institutional Research
· Others as deemed appropriate

Group Tasks:
· Describe successful evidence-based math pathways, based upon learning outcomes that meet a variety of student needs (transfer, job preparation, etc.)
· Identify successful evidence-based teaching methods, strategies, and tools used in math courses to meet a variety of student needs (transfer, job preparation, etc.)
· Describe successful evidence-based writing and reading pathways, based upon learning outcomes that meet a variety of student needs (transfer, job preparation, etc.)
· Identify successful evidence-based teaching methods, strategies, and tools used in writing and reading programs to meet a variety of student needs (transfer, job preparation, etc.).
· Map content overlap that exists between ABE/ESL and pre-college (developmental) English and Math.
· Identify evidence-based best practices that support students in pre-college Math and English pathways.
· Identify federal, state, and local policies, regulations, and practices that create barriers to transforming pre-college Math, English and Reading content.

March – update task force on progress
May – completion of project
June- final plan submitted to the Instruction Commission
